He told the story of the African bushmen that would have monkeys show them there water is by tricking them to trap themselves out their own greed for salt as an analogy for how he felt used by Hollywood. I can only guess this story was how they would do the equivalent of beating him like the bottom bitch he was and then would gain his loyalty by fixing it.
Next time just wrap your car around a tree and save me the time of having to explain the ramblings of a quadroon to you.
