I like it bit then I started watching it when it was just a weird show on channel 4 because I found Charlie brooker funny. I get why people discovering via all the hype might be put off.
It seems like every episode is only half an idea and they just stretch it out as long as possible. Every twist can be seen from a mile away. That one about the black guy in the future and it's got that gameshow and everyone is riding around on exercise bikes, one of the most boring and shitty things I've ever seen. I liked the one with John Hamm though.
This new lot had one short episode and one with 3 stories in one ( like the Christmas special) think that helps. Was never a hour long until it went to Netflix.
When it first came out there was literally no other tv show like it, as in a sci-fi that felt so viable and close. Season 3 got a bit out of hand but thats the difference between a degenerate cynical brits mind and hollywood exposure.
Everyone I see on my social media I remember championed the 3rd season, which yeah I thought was really bad almost all around. Only that lesbian San Janiero thing was just OK.
This new one I think though is mostly back to Charlie Brooker and has three good episodes in the middle.
The one I'm most perplexed over is how most people don't rate the pig fucker episode higher or flat out think it's bad. I think it's still the only truly great episode. It's amazing that they took something that ridiculous and provocative and actually pulled it off in a serious way.
This show's lows though are really bad. In the new season, this Star Trek satire thing? Ugh. Or last season's social media/people obsessing on rating people thing? Ugh.

Black Mirror sucks. There's like 2 good episodes across all 3 seasons I saw. I don't know why this shit keeps being put on a pedestal.
