Opie actually had a good, professional notion of how a radio show should work. He certainly put more thought into it than Jim or Sam do. It’s just that he had no on-mic talent, no sense of humor, and was a sociopath who made people hate him. He should have been the PD, not the host.

The tragedy of post-2014 O&A is that we have Opie, who is professional but untalented; Jimmy who is talented but couldn’t care less about doing a good job, and Sam, who is a piece of dog vomit that eats candy and Coca Cola for breakfast.

They had to take a 20 minute call from Snowy in Michigan and then a guy in Pittsburgh so Opie could ask "How yer Penguins doin'?"
