I believe it happened when Jim and Opie split. I certainly don’t remember Jim being the angry one for very long after they launched the J&S Show. Maybe that’s when he started taking Prep.

Jim used to work out everyday and was super smart too. He was ripped and didn't take shit from anybody plus he had a full ride at Harvard so he had a bright future ahead of him. Then some dude with long hair shit in Jims mouth at a public swimming pool. That pretty much shattered him.
