Gender and sex are different, but they're connected. That's the whole problem. It's like skin color and makeup. One you're born with, one you more or less adapt but if you're black and wear white makeup you're fucked up and weird. Also, gender grows FROM sex. It's not randomly made up, there's a reason male and female clothes are different, hairstyles that accentuate features, all of it is connected. And you're allowed to deviate slightly.
