He was arrested with over $20,000 worth of his usual drugs. Artie had just gotten a big chunk of his annual salary after the 50th AA show and loaded up on heroin, cocaine and painkillers. Thats why he has been having a lot of problems since the 50th show. Apparently he was going to just quit after he got that paycheck thats why he was putting in even less effort on the air after about show 35. The tweet and ugly photo artie tweeted was meant for Ant as a fuck you (they had different interpretations of the contract) and his "sabbatical leave" was Artie not being allowed on the air while they sort out the contract with the attorneys. It really is a shame that he is going to prison and won't be able to see Rich Vos perform live at the Funny Bone in Hartford, Connecticut December 22-23rd.

I wonder how many people actually belived Artie was going to prison even before reading this? Jail is definitely in his future, the time he gets really depends on how pissed off the prosecutor and Judge is over the missed court dates (I read somewhere he has blown off court more than once for this charge). He is pretty much stuck in jail till his day in court. He fucked up any chance of that by skipping out on court. It's pretty much the same in every State in the US for that if you have a felony, priors, and especially blowing off consecutive court dates. It's rare to get bonded out on a bench warrant arrest.
