I can only speak for myself but I have gone from disliking him because he's a goofy douchebag to finding him earnestly entertaining because he's a goofy douchebag. It's more a laugh at than with situation, but I'm still laughing.

Also when a guy that O&A used to pan for being a cheesy nobody is suddenly doing a lot better professional than Opie, I think that's just dandy.

TL;DR irony poisoning his indirect revenge on opie by simply living better

Scorch is a dork but I respect him. They guy has work ethic, and it's not like he's going to stop being a cornball this far down the road. Guy looks like a pirate for fucks sake. The fact he's still on the radio and Opie isn't is hilarious.
