I think Opie wants the exact opposite. Jimmy will most likely not re-up with Sirius in October of 2018. Any vacancy left by Artie is an automatic opening for Jimmy to finally re-team with Anthony. That’s the last thing Opie wants.
I wonder if Ant signed Artie to only a one year deal in anticipation of Jimmy leaving SXM. AA show started in September. One year deal takes you basically right up to the expiration of the SXM contract.
