I went to the same college as Opie.. and knew his fraternity... they verbally shat on him a lot.. They were the biggest drug guys on campus bu the ole Opester wasn’t one of the cool guys. They used to be very proud of him but they didnt like him telling their pledging stuff on the air... Not that it matters they accidentally killed someone in their house with drugs and the town absolutely hates the fraternity..

They were extremely unhappy with his accounts of their pledging process (he’s a Phig - at the time I was there they were Phi Sigma Epsilon now they are Phi Sigma Xi). I was in another org and came in for an event and met members of his fraternity at a local bar that both of our orgs went to. These were guys that I was chatting with as at the time I was a huge O and A fan (at the time they were recently fired from WNEW). They were basically shit talking about how they heard he was unpopular with the older Brothers and alumni after he outed them on air in some hazing the group does. The school is very anti-hazing (at the time Opie went not so much) and put them in the spotlight (hard not imagine why - already had a bad rep with school and town). I can’t remember the exact details as I had a few but they really weren’t very complimentary.
