Society decided that encouraging mental illness as a form of expression was a good idea. There's a whole sub-culture that's popped up around supporting the extreme delusions of these people. Now you're an asshole if you don't buy into the delusions these people have and encourage them. It's all very strange and I'm a pontificating jackass.
