The crux of the "caught in a lie" argument is Tucker tells a story about a pre-planned fucking of a girl in the ass where he had his friend hide in the closet to record it. Well, the girl shits, causing a horrible smell, and the friend tumbles out of the closet and pukes. Girl is mortified and leaves.

Opie asks if he still has the tape and Tucker says no. This leads to Opie lamenting on and on that you'd keep that tape and insinuating Tucker is lying.

Now, Tucker is probably an exaggerator in the least and possibly a downright liar. But, he explained that he wrote these stories several years after the events happened, thus did not realize the value of any tape. And I can attest that in my own life we used to record parties and what not at my house, actually during the same time frame as Tucker's story. At that time they were large camcorders using full size VHS tapes.

We had so many tapes that had shit way worse than Tucker described. I have no idea what happened to those tapes. One time, we had this girl over and she was wasted. She was vomiting in the toilet and we were videoing her and putting the toilet plunger on her head. Her tit ended up popping out if I recall. A week or so later she went to the police and claimed she got really drunk and doesn't remember what happened, but remembers there was a tape. A cop showed up at the house and we denied there was a tape. He saw the camcorder sitting on a ledge and he asked to see it. There was no tape in it. We told him someone was probably just holding it, acting like they were taping. The tape was actually in the VCR cause we were just watching it.

Anyways, not having a tape years after juvenile exploits doesn't prove shit. And even if it did, you likely taped over the event with a Rich Vos set.
