Like I said in a previous comment, don't go in expecting a deep or great film. But it's entertaining (or at least I thought it was) and Costner's great in it. And I don't usually like him.

Kind of like knowing It Comes At Night wasn't a horror movie, like the trailer made it out to be. The overwhelming majority of people in comment feeds and stuff were livid that they felt they'd been duped by the trailers, and the movie was almost something else entirely. (I don't blame them, honestly) But I went in "not expecting a horror movie" or any supernatural elements, and I had a much better time with it. I liked it.

Yeah, I enjoyed it. Not a comic book fan and there were some boring moments but overall a good show. Especially the Castle kicking ass parts. The Iranian American chick, I didn't mind. She was hot.

The dumb Arab cop woman and her side kick sucked. The PTSD storyline sucked. Shoehorning in gun control stuff was uneeded.

Bernthal was great as was the violence and so was the stuff with Billy. If they don't fuck up the villian they set up then season 2 can be great. They should really cut it down to like 8 episodes though.

Kevin Costner is kinda underrated. Like Morgan Freeman, he seems like one of those actors that really doesn't have any truly bad movies. Even Waterworld holds up fairly well. (I've never seen The Postman.)

Also, I had no idea he was so prolific, according to Rotten Tomatoes, he's worked on over 60 movies.
