Should they move Artie to the couch?

I just recently watched the latest AA shows. I noticed Artie mentioned the following lines:

  • I've been on this job for 3 months. I've not figured out how to get comfortable in this chair.
  • Here's where we play Americas favorite game "Is it 6 o'clock yet?"
  • What If I just do it from my house?
  • There's easier ways to make 4 grand a day.
  • Let's knock off early.

They should do it like on Howard's set. Artie can be in a dark corner and only chime in if he has something good to say. Putting him on a tall stool in front of everyone and shining the force of a thousand sun at his face while he's hungover is not good for anyone.

They need a dark room with a circular table like the old O&A one with a couch on the side. Let the slob sit where ever he wants as the 3rd micer and get a 2nd mic to 'cohost'.

I remember when Anthony was the one we didn't want to look at. Remind me again why this podcast needs a visual element?

Because most of the show is reacting to news videos.

then Ant should wear a mask or get bogdanoff'd

He needs to take the bogpill

Just for Bobo

Not to mention the awkward "two shot" of Artie and an empty chair. You've got 2 cameras. Have an operator on one of them. Robotic cameras are cheap. Fucking public access shittiness. Sandy Kane's public access show probably has better production values.

I fucking hate the news room style studio they are set up in. They should ditch the dumb desk that Ant loves and get some chairs with softer lighting.

shining the force of a thousand suns into his face while he's hungover is not good for anyone.

Scratch the whole "video element" thing while they are at it. There isn't a single person on the whole Compound Media who should be seen by more people than necessary.

Flutesy's shitter.

Ants not paying him a fortune to sleep on the couch for an hour and forty five minutes.

If Artie gets his heroin to coke ratio wrong he'll nod off on the couch, but sitting uncomfortably on the chair less likely.

Poor Anthony. He's paying a guy $4,000 a day and he not only puts in minimal effort, he turns how he can't wait to end the show into a daily bit.

This sack of shit makes 4 fucking grand a day? Holy shit Ant, fire him already.

That's the joke amount he said.

Anyone who thinks Artie is making 4 grand a day is a fucking moron. 80k a month? Compound Media doesn't make that much from subscribers in a month.

$4,000/day is more than what Stern was paying him, Anthony can't swing that. For some reason, Artie likes throwing out numbers in the $800,000 range, that was also how much he was rumored to be paid for his second book.

If I had to guess, Artie's probably in the $250,000 - 300,000 range. A few years ago, Jim reported he was in the $300,000 - 400,000 range from Sirius (probably more now), and Anthony couldn't swing him, so Artie should be cheaper than that.

This really makes me dislike the worm. Take a fucking pay cut to hang out with your best friend and laugh all day. Maybe once Artie finally croaks we'll get the dream show we've been waiting for.

Cant say I really blame Jim for that. On CP media hes somewhat responsible for the success of the network but at SXM he can collect an easy half mill paycheck and slide under the radar.

That's four thousand in heroin coupins.

Makes sense

According to Artie anyway.

They should get him a recliner, and a quick adjustment mic. He's a big, heavy guy. Sitting on a stool or many chairs of a few hours has to be a big pain in the ass. When you watch the old Stern shows, he does a lot of them in a reclined position, and only goes into a traditional sitting position when something exciting was going on.

I think Artie's kind of humiliated to be doing to this AA thing. As he should be.

I think it's pretty obvious. He might like Anthony and all but he's clearly somewhat pissy about being Anthony Cumia's second banana.

I was a big Artie fan but it's sad now. It's not a terrible show but he fucked up the best job in radio. He shouldn't act like this is beneath him

I loved the show for about 2-3 weeks, but it got old quick. They don't have a great chemistry and Ant does too much fake laughing at Artie's shitty jokes, that he tells over and over and over. Can't show up on time, acts like he doesn't want to be there. Ant put his money on the wrong horse.

Actually, if someone really loved Artie they'd move him to intensive care.Get him blood transfusions and rehab his ass for at least a year.If that doesn't work, shit we get new material.

I don’t think you can have people committed anymore

Sick of this fucking junkie. Do your 8 hour a week job of repeating the same stories to one of the easiest guys to work with. Your fat ass can fall off for all I care.

you misspelled coffin...

Employing Artie Lange is where Ant went wrong. Make Artie get help and get off drugs or remain unemployed and die. It's his choice. Constantly giving him gigs after he's proven time and time again that he is unreliable, ungrateful, and untrustworthy is only enabling that piece of shit to be the way he is.

The wasted filthy dying drug addict who endlessly repeats his old hacky bits and retarded "war stories"...that's Artie's whole persona now. Occasionally he'll have a burst of lucidity or anger and blurt out something funny, relevant or obnoxious most mostly it's just Artie going through the motions as everyone gawks in disbelief at what a disaster he's become.

Four grand a day? I'm a mess but if I was making four grand a day you bet I'd have teeth, clothes without stains, a real haircut and a real doctor, as opposed to the ghoul Artie supposedly visits. And it's enough to be able to keep doing drugs too.

the wheels are slowly coming off.

you guys are retarded, Anthony doubled his subscribers when he brought Artie on. Also OP congratulations you found the jokes.
