In a way, I really don't want that to happen. Because Sam could easily become a new Opie if he was regulated to the board and I think the last thing we need in life is another Opie. Stewing in resentment that he cant participate, or that his role in participation is limited, while Jimmy and Anthony blaze ahead with their hilarity. He's just going to take it out on them and the show eventually, and we'll have an Opie 2.0 on our hands. I don't think Sam should have his life destroyed like we did with Opie, but I -like you- have had it with that fucking guy.
He opened the first Jim and Sam show by repeating over and over how he told Jim he'd only do the show of they were equal partners. He routinely talks about how he's still coming to grips with what a big famous star he is. He worshipped opie and learned everything he knows about radio from the opester. He absolutely will be opie Jr forever.
What happened yesterday on the show was good but they did repeat a lot of things they always talk about. They even redid the "Doo Dee doe doe" Rocky bit. It felt uninspired even if it was miles above what Jim and Sam do on a weekly basis. Just calling it how I see it guyz.
I don't understand what happened, Sam was hilarious as an intern with his smarmy, snide attitude he had especially towards Erock. He was one of the main people that fed Bobo his most memorable lines. But now he's incredibly bland and out of place. I wonder if he changed because of all the workload he gained, or because he just stopped being funny. Maybe he just wasn't meant to be a "main character".
