Jim and Sam are scared of him, so no wonder they let him be aggressive to the younger colleague. Everybody hated his O&A intros and almost every other bit of production he did. He is not worth keeping around.
But they never actually address why Anthony is petrified. They know that if Troy had his way he would give Anthony the Zito treatment and them acting as if people just say that they're all better now fixes the situation. Bennington had Anthony as an intern and got a lot out of him because he wants to help young people in the business and doesn't have a dominating complete head-case on his staff. Jim and Sam act like their staff are ugly and stupid or dumb and not worth helping. It's all very Hughesian.
I liked that he says whatever is on his mind but that has proven to make him a huge douche over the years. That shitloaf as Troy bit made him look like an insecure man trying to be tough. If someone bigger then him did it, maybe Kenny, he would have laughed it off like it was all good bro! Funny!
