I recall the interminable interview with the guy who played George W Bush in that biopic that absolutely no one saw. It felt like it went on for hours.
You don't think that one someone uses an adjective and then uses a similar description of that adjective twenty words later it is the same thing as saying the first adjective initially then forgetting the second adjective subsequently as though the initial adjective sufficiently described the concept without needing the unnecessary followup that may have been added in order to define the initial adjective itself but most likely included just because the commenter believes we should bask in his benevolent intelligence?
I noticed the second movies start advertising on podcast they're really going to suck. So far The Snowman, Suburbia, Heil Cesar all sucked in box office and did heavy podcast promos
60 million on a 20 million budget, "generally favorable reviews" It wasnt like a cross over hit or a critical smash. Enjoyable movie, quirky. Probably more for people who would go see any coen brothers movie regardless.
The popularity of capeshit means something went extremely wrong in our society. There should be a task force looking into this and figuring out who needs to be exterminated.
Have you seen the trailer for Black Panther yet? Good god almighty. What a useless "diversity" fest. It's an even less necessary feature than Dr Strange.
It's opening mid February, always the time Marvel releases their most confident movies.
I thought Dr Strange was not bad actually. Mads Mikklesen's character was retarded but I enjoyed that the climax was smarter than the typical Marvel "hero punches villain harder than villain punches hero" ending.
I'm not a huge Marvel fan either, none of them are really bad they are just Pretty formulaic and I'm getting tired of it. I liked Ragnarok but it was a little too jokey I thought. There were a couple moments that I thought would be better played seriously that were sort of undermined, but it was funny and I overall liked it.
Winter Soldier is probably still the best Marvel movie though.
Daredevil S1 (although I remember thinking the finale was a little weak), and all the Punisher bits of S2, are pretty great. I never gave a shit about the Punisher before, I thought it was just some edgelord bullshit, but damn if I'm not looking forward to that show.
It was as compelling as the original Thor movie. There's just not a lot you can do with that character, and there was no real reason to make a standalone movie. Black Panther, even less so. I loved Cap 3 and I didn't even mind Black Panther, he was kind of cool. But his own feature? Na, playa. It's gonna bomb, and they'll probably blame racism.
I agree that it's silly to make a Black Panther movie and it doesn't look especially good from the trailer (again, looks like the basic Marvel formula). It won't be a billion-dollar movie but I think it'll make its money back, there are enough people who go to every Marvel movie and enough black people that it won't be a total flop. I don't think that there's really been a Marvel flop yet, has there? I mean fucking Ant-Man was a big hit and it seemed like they were really reaching when that got announced.
Black Panther will definitely get over-praised like Wonder Woman did for being "diverse" and a "breakthrough," though.
Black Panther will do tepid business here, and do jack shit overseas: Asians don't give a shit about black people, movies about black people. Black Panther will be the worst performing MCU movie of the last 10 years. I bet you a beer.
Beyond that, Sam wouldn't even say that the movie was good. He mentioned before the interview that he saw Justice League and that it was fun, then Jimmy pressed a bit and asked him if it was good, to which he reiterated, "It was fun".
This movie is gonna fucking stink and I'm so ready.

It's hilarious listening to old O&A episodes and hearing movies being plugged and praised that you've never heard of.

I could be wrong, but wasn’t it a total flop in box office and was out of theaters quick? Rated poorly for a Coen Brothers movie too.

It was shit for a Coen brothers film.

It's a C for a coen brothers movie. I like it better than Burn After Reading.

Dr. Strange had a clever ending, and the visuals were trippy as hell, so I'll agree with you there.
Speaking of, Thor Ragnarok is actually very funny, but the ending falls apart. I'm not a big fan of most of their movies but that was pretty good.

YES. Winter Soldier is still the standout among all of those films. It caught me off guard like John Wick did on how hood it was.

The finale was formula once he put on that costume.

Here's a good movie recommendation:
Bleed for This
It's like Million Dollar Baby meets Rocky, without any feminine or gay shit.

I enjoyed mum and dad. It's a british movie about a serial killer and his family. Makes some dumb bitch make out with a decapitated head.
