When O&J came to an end, Jim was very clear that the failure of the 0&J show was just as much his fault as it was Opie's. He was "50% of the show, etc etc", yet when given his own show, his one real shot at building something good at SiriusXM he completely dropped the ball. He rolls in with the same mentality he had when he was third mic on O&A.
I mean, shit, he asked Sean Astin if he had "been in Hollywood long", not knowing Astin's mother is Patty Duke and his "father" is John Astin. Now, a listener might not know this, and that's fine, but it takes literally two minutes to read up on it.
It sucks because Jim and Sam could be a decent show. I stuck with it for three or four months before I completely tapped out of it.
