How likely is it that Louie commits suicide?
34 2017-11-13 by Every1ShouldBKilled
spent his own money on a film that he cant show in theaters now, so those financial gains are GONE
cant go back on the road to recoup losses
dropped by his agent
cant live for awhile on what he's made in the past because he spent a good portion of it on Horace and Pete
probably still paying off the boat too
can't live on residuals since FX dropped Louie and all the other things he was affiliated with
his cunt of an ex has probably been subtly shit-talking him to his daughters for years in some attempt to turn them against him, now she just has more definitive ammo. But regardless...
...his "woke" daughters probably hate him now anyway, meanwhile his whole world revolves around them
public image as a taste-making auteur ruined
the role of his generations' "Carlin" tarnished and almost completely gone
Taking bets now...

dont think he'd kill himself. but the artfag may cut off an ear.
1 JoeCumiasCockBreath 2017-11-13
Zero chance until both his daughters turn 18.
He's one of those fags who think children are important so even if they hate him, he'll stickaround to support them until they're grown up.
After that all bets are off.
1 SWIMsfriend 2017-11-13
his kids are 10 and 14, right about the time they start rebeling anyway. So they'll probably just tell him to get out of their lives anyway, and use this as a way to leave him forever

Dead man walking.

Nah. He loves his daughters too much. He can still make a lot of money on the road. He’s just gonna have to do it without the NPR crowd, the faggy fans who don’t laugh, dance or sing-a-long unless their tastemaker NPR tells them it’s okay and the reasons it’s okay. Don’t laugh if you are laughing literally at what he says, only laugh ironically as you hear what he’s not saying because this performance is layered in ways you may find surprising.
Louis lost himself this decade pandering to the pretensions of that crowd. But now they’ve been instructed to take down their framed CK posters, the ones they carefully displayed on their bookcases next to their Isbell & Sturgill records that let everyone know that they listen to NPR and NPR told them that country music sucks except for Isbell & Sturgill, country artists you can and should support without fear of being mistaken for a Republican.

They don't have to practice shit, it just comes natural to them.

They practice on black women before getting called up to the big leagues of raping white women: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eldridge_Cleaver#cite_ref-Cleaver_5-2

Regardless of NPR faggotry, Sturgill is really good.

You are right about NPR. Liberals eat thier own.

NPR is the powerful cultural force you seem to imagine it is.

This whole scandal is a farce I wouldn't be surprised if he planted it in order to get sympathy when people backlash against the absurdity of it

He always wanted to be like Woody Allen. He reached this status now. He is an artsy creep.
1 JuiceBusters 2017-11-13
This is the correct answer.
He's right where he wants to be.

'public image as a taste-making auteur ruined' this pleases me more than anything else. in fact, the rest of the stuff doesnt bother me and I might even feel a little bad for him.

Nah

In two years, his scandal might be thought of as being over the top and possibly related to a part of the collateral damage from the Weinstein fallout. It may start with a sympathetic article and a podcast appearance but I think he'll be back in some manner.
1 edfromla 2017-11-13
He’ll be a guest on the 0 & C podcast
1 Ook1233_ 2017-11-13
Long term I think Louie will come out of this relatively unscathed. There’s so much more far worse shit coming out about other celebrities that what Louie did doesn’t seem so bad in comparison.
1 phlammo 2017-11-13
Do you realize how much money somebody in Louie's position has? He's at the "my money makes me more money" stage of things.
1 thoughts_n_prayers 2017-11-13
sources say he has applied for a position at Panera

Fuck him if he think he's taking my job
1 herpacin 2017-11-13
The material he will be able to write as a result of this will be epic. The vitriol and anger is going to be pure. Happiness = crap material. I can't wait.
1 Hamburger212 2017-11-13
he sold I Love You Daddy for $5 million to a distributer
1 OGcumBoi 2017-11-13
I'd say they have a pretty solid case against Louis and the fact that his actions sabotaged the distribution of the movie he sold them.
1 Austernpilz 2017-11-13
People's court, here we come!
1 edfromla 2017-11-13
He’s truly fucked especially with today’s PC climate, he’ll die jerking off with a belt tied around his neck. Happy.
1 Hanarable 2017-11-13
Man I think people are really making a mountain out of an ant hill. If I was CK I’d walk into the cellar, or any club really, like I owned the place. He’s still Louis CK and people would still go to see him. This whole fiasco gives him a brand new half hour at least.

His career will tank faster than Dane Cooks did.His notion that he is a 2017 "Carlin"is gone forever and hopefully all the SJW shit he peddled.
1 SynSity 2017-11-13
He ruined his legacy with both sides which was really stupid of him, but he'll come out of this one okay. He just won't really go down as a legend in anyone's eyes since he shit on the ideals of each side individually.
1 eastriverdriveII 2017-11-13
his punishment should be that he has to move back to Massachusetts and have to open up for Barry Crimmins for the rest of his life.
1 charleskealyphoto 2017-11-13
Orchard bought his film for $5 million I think they are the ones to take a loss on it
1 Every1ShouldBKilled 2017-11-13
I still think he needs the box office sales to recoup losses. Or if that 5 million properly recouped everything, then he's just missing out on the returns. So it's still money gone. It's not like he could've lived on that 5 million, if it has to go back to costs. Plus he's stretched thin on the boat payments and Horace and Pete losses. So how much money could he theoretically have, unless he put it into something...
1 Jungies 2017-11-13
I don't think he lost shit on Horace and Pete. He admitted on O&A that he asked Rumsfeld if he was a lizard just to build buzz for whatever project he was pushing; I'll guarantee he claimed on Stern to have lost money on Horace and Pete just to generate buzz for it.
He takes great pride in the fact that he and his team can produce a show on a shoestring budget, so the upfront cost would have been low. Throw in direct sales from his website, positive reviews from critics, the Stern interview & dozens of articles talking about it, licensing it to Hulu (and probably TV channels around the world).
If he got five million upfront for his movie, I'm guessing that's what it cost to make plus a little on the top, so he's square on that front. The company he sold it too won't hold it forever; they'll let the outrage die down before releasing it - and the subject matter mixed with the controversy is going have a real ghoulish appeal to the public. They'll lose cinema ticket sales, but I don't think that's where the money lies; streaming (in the privacy of your own home, where you can decide whether to admit you've seen it) should bring in a ton of money; particularly if he can do it on his site and cut out the middle man. Right now, the only place to see his specials is to buy them direct off his site, which is almost pure profit and puts interested fans on his mailing list. If he's smart, he'll be buying up Facebook and Google ads to catch interested consumers searching for and passing around articles on him.
He'll be fine.
1 namidya 2017-11-13
His punishment is the loss of respect his daughters will have for him.
Also, he should’ve rented yachts.
1 AlchemyWizard 2017-11-13
Movies and tv might be gone because the fake sjw will crucify him and the power players will be nervous to use him for fear of boycotts. That said, I would want to see his stand up even more now.
1 cabaretcabaret 2017-11-13
It's an odd situation. If this came out, as in here's a list of women with allegations, literally any other preceding month, it wouldn't have blown up nearly as much.
If this happened 1 week before Spacey even, then they would already have largely forgotten about it, but now it will linger on because he's just the next guy.
1 liesalotguy 2017-11-13
He doesn't lose residuals because of this. Why would you even assume that?
1 Every1ShouldBKilled 2017-11-13
FX dropped everything. All his shows. No Louie shows, no Louie reruns. The only thing up right now are his specials
1 kimchifart 2017-11-13
Suicide or TACS. That's actually a tricky one.
1 dannygunz 2017-11-13
I think the longer he is silent and we don't see him the harder any sort of comeback will be. I would hope he takes this head on and attacks his image as some terrible predator before it grows even bigger.
As much as people around here dislike him I think Joe Rogan's podcast would be perfect for Louis to control the narrative more. Ditch the fucking suits and do some stand up at comedy clubs.
1 tommytommerson 2017-11-13
i've actually been thinking about this as he seemed to be having a textbook narcissistic/manic episode on the last Opie & Jim appearance, him getting choked up over his descriptions of Horace and Pete were so disturbing and cringeworthy tbh I thought he was suicidal back then, hiding on a boat like a mother fucker trying to avoid the press
1 billburriscuck0ld 2017-11-13
He's an exhibitionist. Remember his gratuitous, full-frontal nude scene in Lucky Louie? And look at his statement, where he frankly states he "showed a woman my dick." He's probably getting off on all of this, knowing that millions of people are now thinking about him tugging his sad pink micropenis in front of unimpressed women.
