Well its a true story about one of the nation's biggest heroes. The pacifism came from his religion, but at the same time it made him one of the most well known combat medics. The guy saved 75 men after...nvm, you need to see this movie

Only real problem with it is it’s about a pacifist who was allowed to serve and became a hero, which isn’t enough for Mel. He needs to make Doss more persecuted to enhance his heroism and so the movie invents a whole imprisonment and trial that never occurred. The movie should be patriotic, but it makes the military and govt look evil and incompetent when in fact they displayed a commitment to religious freedom even in wartime.
