This was a direct insult to Denny. It was Opie thumbing his nose because he "made it" and Denny was still a journeyman working wherever needed him for money despite having been in the business so long. Always pissed me off.

Opie's firing proves why he's stupid. Knowing that twitter and the internet is full of haters and that he only really had to deal with us when he did a radio show, his firing could've been a blessing in disguise.

Once he was gone, he could've focused on his family and doing something else out of the spotlight. He could've had a nice quiet life away from the internet, leaving us knowing nothing about him and possibly even saying "Man, Opie sucked on the radio but once he was done with it he really did lead a content life." It would've been the best way he could've gotten revenge on us. Maybe he patches things up with Ant and Jimmy and hangs out with them socially now that he isn't trying to be the biggest ego maniac around.
