New governor says he wants to make it legal for recreational use. The State Senate already has a bill in the works and says they want to get it done in the first 100 days.
They won two blue states. It was as unsurprising as that Georgia congress election a Republican won earlier this year. Christie was a fluke and Virginia is solidly liberal now.
Well NJ was a given considering how Christie fucked it up for the GOP. And VA governorship has gone democratic more than republican a lot lately, especially since so many people branched out of MD and DC to infect the state their liberal nonsense.
If Trump had gone to VA and campaigned for Gillespie I think he would have won. He got 700,000 fewer votes than Trump did in the state.
All in all yesterday wasn't such a big shock.
Shame the folks in NYC are stuck with De Blasio for 4 more years.
