It really says how much the current iteration of SNL sucks when Larry David is the host and the show still sucks huge dicks. woke garbage has pretty much ruined comedy, its all i fucking see when i turn on any comedy show anymore.
basically outside of the comics associated with O&A and the newer ones talked about around here, its pretty much impossible to find that type of comedy anymore. Certainly not from any newer comics, all these millennial aged pussies were raised to be no-edge faggots so I dont have high hopes for the future of comedy.
This is the biggest reason I give guys like Big Jay a pass. I've seen Jay three times in my local clubs and he has slayed with good 'ol fashion filthy humor. No political bullshit, just lesbian and cock jokes.
Stopped watching in around 2003, tuned in when Bjork was on as the musical guest around 07, hated every minute of the actual show while waiting for the musical guest segment.
I don't care what anyone says, In Living Color characters stand up decently to the test of time. In Living Color launched way more successful and funny people than SNL when considering the number of seasons/total number of actors on the show.
I was watching a bunch of ILC on FXX recently and most of the shit fucking still holds up. And watching it now its just another show that shows how much gayer and PC the world has become since. This was another example of a mainstream network show that didn't give a shit about PC and was as offensive as you could get for network tv. Shit like In Living Color, Mad TV, Married with Children just make me miss the 90s when nobody kowtowed to the PC social justice faggots and TV was all the better because of it.
I've been on those Married With Children reruns like a mu'ug recently. It's nice that they have them on early AM before work. I used to listen to Stern, but it's a steaming pile of shit these days.
I agree with ILC, but Mad TV had like maybe 2 okay years. Most of it was the most annoying shit possible like Miss Swann and the dude dressed as a little kid.
Will Sasso may be the most criminally underrated performer ever. While the whole of MadTV may not measure up to the whole of SNL, Will Sasso's contribution is way better than anything SNL ever produced.
It was also the "edgiest" shit to be out at that time. SNL didn't touch those subjects and stand up comedy wasn't easily accessible to the average TV watcher.
Black comedians really had prowess in the late eighties/early nineties in the comedy scene. It allowed Whites to watch some real comedy with impunity because it was either "wow these people sure are different" or "I'm not judgmental: I like a Black comedian".
Mirrored the rise of jazz music in America, it was novel, real, and showed that you're "impartial".
Richard Pryor was obviously earlier and a pioneer, but he didn't get the white viewership.
In Living Color was great because it was racial humor with no fucking "message." There were no stats listed at the end of sketches, no patting themselves on the back. Just black people being funny and honest.
Man did they take apart Michael Jackson lol. Honestly, some of Jim Carey's best stuff is from that show, almost all physical comedy, still makes me laugh my ass off. Definitely miles edgier than anything SNL has done in the last 20 years.
It's a scarlet letter. For pts it means that they will have a hard time getting help because providers aren't thrilled about dealing with them, it can't be handled purely with pharm, it requires time intensive behavior therapy that would be hard for even the most stable people to invest effort in, it is associated with many behaviors that prevent reliable relationships and that has serious consequences beyond treatment. It's a hard life, no provider wants to be the person writing that down before investigating much more common things like depression/bipolar.
"For pts it means that they will have a hard time getting help because providers aren't thrilled about dealing with them, "
Just to clarify what this means for the mental health professional, a REAL borderline diagnosis will typically call their therapist 3X per week with "emergencies," sometimes in the middle of the night.
Yes, being available for and dealing with people who aren't stable is part of the job. But being available for a borderline? To do so would mean neglecting all their other patients. (And it STILL wouldn't be enough for a borderline, they'd find a reason to end the therapeutic relationship)
I agree with you that it's taxing, but this is what we do. If you decide to go into healthcare to not interact with sick people then you're shit at picking jobs. Borderlines are tough. Establish boundaries. Maintain emotional distance. Take satisfaction in the very few you can help.
Ugh. I am a mental health worker, and I can honestly say I wish people with borderline personality would just shut the fuck up about suicide and just do the world a favour and complete it already
Why get into that field if that's how you truly feel? I hope you're fucking around or I sincerely hope you get cancer and are made to watch your family get raped you fucked up ignorant cunt.
Am I supposed to be sad or angry now? What about what I said makes me a pussy? Wishing rape or cancer on someone is pussy? A pussy is someone who, even though they work with people who can't help how their brain functions, still is ignorant enough to hope they kill themselves (anonymously) and a bigger pussy is someone like you who instantly jumps to their defense because "lol edgy!" fuck off and die too, faggot.
People with borderline personality don't have chemical imbalances whatsoever, it's a behavioural disorder where they blame everyone in their entire life for any of their failures and refuse to take any responsibility for their own actions. They perform some form of self destruction or mutilation in an attempt to get admitted to hospital so they can drain more resources and get more people to pity them. Good example is faggot Hughes, or whoever in your family that has it that you actually feel bad for, emotional faggot, lol
Wow. That really does explain Greggory perfectly. Since he got himself fired, the hate still persists, but we barely talk about him any more. He really does repel everybody away from him like a bratty, whining, gay black cloud.
All I do is make sure the sick assholes stay locked up, and enforce the rules of the unit on entitled cunts who have gotten their way their entire life. It's not a bad job actually
Similar. We take people in who have committed crimes and assess if they're eligible to apply for not guilty due to mental illness or not. I have to do all the duties of a CO but also assess them to see if the "act" changes or not. Alot of time this involves pushing them to be uncomfortable to see if the presentation changes or not. You'd be amazed at how many pieces of shit with personality disorders try to feign mental illness because they know they'll get fucked up in actual prison. A lot men with borderline personality end up as pedophiles, so watch your kids around Pete Davidson and Tits

Let's really break this down. There isn't a single bit of irony or satire going on here. You can't even explain it away as some sort of extremely high brow/dry style of comedy that is meant to be played straight. She sings the song, and says "i'm not giving up, and neither should you". There is no payoff or punch-line to be found. You can't even say it was a nice tribute to Cohen who just died that week. They used his death to drive home a political statement instead.
All these theatrics just because 'le cheeto man had just won the election. You can really imagine how self important the cast/writers felt including this as the opener. Sitting around, debating the ethics of "playing this one straight". "This is our eulogy for America". WE GET IT.
SNL has become "No, but for real guys..." personified in real time. In short, it stinks and I don't like it.

The last funny sketch I can recall was Tracey Morgan playing the bum that lives in the sewer and takes Britney Spears down to his sewer home with him. And Tracey sings a song for her about "Take a doo doo pie".
The Bill Hader, Jason Suedekis, and Andy Samberg era was decent too. It started going downhill when they left and SNL pushed the female performer to the forefront. Not sure if you're heard, but women are incredibly unfunny.
