I never saw a person (except for Rogan) who thought of themselves as some Ambassador to Science™ yet no so very little about the fundamentals. I remember on the old XFM podcast he was explaining to Karl how the universe came to be, and said instantly after the Big Bang everything (planets, stars, galaxies, all dat shit) came in order exactly as it is today. That's not just a dumb mistake that's elementary shit for someone trying to win everyone over to atheistic scientism.

You link to something specific that I noticed too - Karl was right A LOT. I don't blame them for always assuming he was wrong but he wasn't.

1 that springs to mind is the origin of the baguette. It made for funny radio to shit on Karl but he was right about that.

There were other things he was right about but he just phrased it terribly so he sounded wrong

I listened to the XFM shows over a decade ago and I stand by what I said. Ricky was the least funny of the three of them.
