picked up on something while listening to old O&A shows, Gregg was always either uncomfortable talking about his kids & wife and/or trying to hard to justify his life as a family man as “cool” & “awesome”. Yet guys like Travis & Sam were never hesitant to talk about their wives & children.

In part, even this side of him was Stern mimicry.
By the late 90's, when his girls were becoming teens and he was considering leaving his beloved Allison, Stern made a point to go radio silent on his domestic life. I think Opie internalized this for a decade until he was in a position to do the same.

Well Travis’s kid has the advantage that her grandmother is currently bumping her head against a wall in Jerusalem like a retard, and Sam’s son is secure in the knowledge that whatever he does, his father will always be a chicken nugget eating faggot.
This has nothing to do with your points, I just wanted to make fun of Travis and Sam.

There was a show where Patrice asked people if they would die for their wives/girlfriend. Natural, he asked Gregg. Gregg refused to answer succinctly. He spoke mumbled words and when pressed further said “I’m not doing this”.

Tits is a desperate, miserable imbecile who literally can't do, or even talk about, anything. There's no way the Hughes' home is a happy, functional one.
