It's without a doubt the most boring and pointless film I've ever seen. Beautifully filmed and tedious beyond belief.

Something in that movie really bothered me, and didn't seem to bother anyone else:

I hated the fact they used contemporary 20th century references in it. If you're going to acknowledge Elvis and Sinatra, then you're saying since the events of the first movie take place in the 20-teens, that we went from 'sideburns Elvis' to a world that is literally unrecognizable and technology that is hundreds of years advanced, in less than 40 years? It took me out of it so bad, it fucked up the whole timeline.

(I think it was off from the jump, Ridley should have had everything taking place in 3019.) It sounds silly but this really bugged me. That said...I cant wait to see it again.
