I still think it was partially Dave. He says he never encouraged Lauren about doing it and was dismissive about it, and the pouty bitch mood he got in when they talked about it on YKWD was probably ten times worse off-mic. So it's fucking up her relationship and she's not getting paid much, and she decides to leave. But she's also afraid of confrontation and feels bad so never says anything to Jim, and Dave is probably telling her, "Who cares it's a stupid character." The thing about telling Bobby months ago makes no sense. If she really was gonna leave why wait months? And why would Bobby hide it from Jim? There's no way that's how it went down.
Dave sucks, this solidified it. Yeah Chip is an intentionally stupid character but the podacast is funnier and more popular than anything Dave has ever done.
