Chip's live podacast and old O&A, why it works.

I know, Jim and Sam go on and on about how they don't want to do the old show, etc. They must realize that the success of the old show was having comedians, doing stupid bits, and bringing show characters on.

It worked, so why don't these two low energy zilches just accept that and get back to that? Do they want to be laid off and forgotten? This new show format consists of one-on-one snoozefest interviews and otherwise Jim and Sam droning on about their mundane lives. They are not exciting people and don't go anywhere that's even worth discussing.

G'on now.

Are you saying people aren't excited about a radio show filled with vapid Hollywood celebrities, wrestlers, UFC fighters and porn stars and hosted by a 49 year old female teenager and repetitive man child?

When Ant pops in the show is great. Why they dont have him in regularly is a complete fuckin mystery

his freedom of speech is in chains

like the 12 year old in his basement

They can't do the old show w/o Ant.

This is exactly it. Both as a sign of respect and as a comedic handicap

Them saying they don't want to do the old show is a lie anyway, they are doing the old show just badly

They have to do native advertising with all their shows. That's why they have all the WWE guests, pornstars, etc. A lot of contracts for native advertising means they can't fuck it up, or they lose that "sponsor".

Is this true?

I dont know, look it up

Structure and production won't save that sinking ship with Sam in the show title.

They are doing the old show. They are just doing a bad job at it. They have comedian guests (but much less funny ones than O&A had). They try to do bits with the interns (but they are boring). They try to talk about news topics (but they are dumb and uninformed).

Even Jimmy Ramoning Ken Bone came off as forced and awkward instead of funny.

Jim & Sam/A&A don't work as shows because no one is doing what made them funny to begin with.

Whenever good comics are in the show is fine
