I heard them last week beggin for listeners to use the ondemand feature to listen to them(I guess cuz they can track listener numbers better) and I tweeted at them how desperate they sounded and they blocked me, and everyone else who replied to the tweet
Yeah I read the other month that Sirius XM bought a huge chunk of Pandora. I think they're more concerned with music & staying competitive in future markets when WiFi is everywhere.
There's a shelf life on their satellite technology, but they've put themselves in the position to pivot to making money off of streaming by already owning back catalogs, especially with the Pandora deal.
I used to speculate with Sirius stock, and did well but got out too early back when it was $4. Opie must be kicking himself and Bob Eatman's coffin for not taking a year's salary in preferred shares at 80 cents a decade ago.
I agree. Phil is a genius. His clear channel show used to be on XM, back around 2002.
I’ve been listening to old Phil shows from his website, and recently discovered that Sam totally stole the AJ Poopyshits character from an old Phil bit.
I was surprised to find out which was which today; pictured the Opie attitude to go along with the white guy, but I should've figured with that kind of temper it would be the half a moulinyan
Covino (I think) sounds just like Opie. Even called his co-host "dickhead". Shut up and collect a paycheck stupid. Were I Sirius, I would send Roland into their bathroom every day until an HR complaint manifested. Fire this boob.
Genius move by Sirius noted above. Fire erock for no reason and see how tough all those "tell it like it is" mavericks are. Covino and rich switched quickly to fighting with each other rather than bash management.
Any show which has two hosts with the same sounding voice is a no go from the start...can never figure out who is who..
Secondly one had a hot wife and got divorced..either he is a fag or has limp dick..
It's amazing to me that people who get paid to talk into a microphone for a living can stir up so much drama amongst themselves. I'd hate to see any of them do work in an actual stressful environment where you're required to work with people you don't know, or wouldn't otherwise spend time with all while making people 1/10th of what these guys make.
The one guy kept saying he was putting his health on the line by doing a week tour of live shows. And that he would come back less of a person because of it.
If you Google "Covino and Rich", literally 90 of the first 100 image results is them standing with a model or otherwise really attractive girl right outside their studio, presumably post-interview. So apparently they do that enough that its what they're "known" for, I'd assume mostly interviewing hot girls, but without even the marginally redeeming quality of old Stern hot girl interviews where he'd ask them about taking it in the pooper ("we respect women here, bro!"). These girls' only redeeming quality is that when you look at them it makes your dick hard, but it took these geniuses to figure out that what people really want is to listen to audio of vapid hot girls they can't see yammering endlessly about their next project. They really delve deep into that 21 year old Maxim bikini model's personal philosophy of life, which I'm sure there's a huge market for.

I cant stand these fags. Is it really worth a listen?
1 dmix 2017-09-27
I barely made it past their awful rhyming intro, then it sounded like 5min of Opie's whining about XM management...
I'll guess the rest:
Two nobodies are probably angry no one showed up to a show nobody put any effort into.

These guys really think they are bigger than they actually are.
Them slowly realising/being in-denial about how little the company gives a shit what they do is pretty funny though.
1 PhilipMarma 2017-09-27
Totally. The company cares more about owning the streaming rights to early Three Dog Night tracks than they do about any show besides Stern.

It was actually Panera, they know who their core fanbase is, & want them to be captive listeners at work.
1 Joemomma101 2017-09-27
I didn't listen to it, but I assume it's a bit to promote their tour.
