I disagree with this guy in that Joe is self aware. Hes a guy that had a dream of being a comedian, he could feel the rejection of his peers and now its all just slipping away. If he really thought he was amazingly talented he wouldn't have taken that bachelor party offer of $35, he'd go to dinner and do a pop up show.
