I never understood the love he gets on this sub. Beyond his repulsive physical appearance, I hate these fucks who win the professional lottery and then completely fuck it up with drug use. Dude was on top of the world, now he's co-hosting a show that 99.9% of the world doesn't know exists with a racist pedophile.
I'll take people who can have conversations that give funnier people the ability to be funny (Opie) over people who just repeat the same joke over and over again.
This sub is always very quick to jump back on the "Ant is great!" bandwagon. I think because he actually was great for so long.
I remember when TACS first started. Everyone subbed, everyone talked about how he was the driving force of O&A, how his new show was going to be great, etc. Then when it started everyone made excuses, from "It's gonna take time to get funny" to "The studio in New York will change everything" to "Once he gets a co-host it'll be fantastic".
Old man Cumia really had so much fucking good will thrown his way from the very start, but he's continually been a shit head and almost singlehandedly turned everyone on him.
Now with Artie people are again trying to make it sound like this is some great show. The two are not a good pair for a daily show together, and they're just going to cash checks until people stop paying for it.
I never gave Artie much thought before he joined Ant. I just listened to some of his "work" on youtube and it consists mostly of name dropping, puns and fake laughs.
"Perpetual joke mode" is his job. I think Artie can be funny, but the Stern show gave him the break of lifetime and like O&A gave him a lifetime fanbase if you want to call it that. He probably helps Anth's show but that ain't saying much.
