When I watched it the first time I didn't even notice him, like most people, but if you watch him the whole time he is so uncomfortable and an utter black hole for charisma. He has one job and that's to keep it moving along and add some sort of structure and there's so many places of dead air and he's just sitting there like some random audience member.
I've watched this so many times now and it gets funnier every time. Joe can't handle the crowd and having real comics on stage so he gets progressively more passive aggressive as the show goes on. It's the funniest Ant and Jim have been in years and Artie walks off stage in the middle of it to go and do coke to top it all off.
The best part is when Joe just checks out completely and is on his laptop and Artie says "you've lost control of the show, Joe." It's like he forgets people are watching him. I think that's the same problem he had with that livestream, he's so stupid and useless he forgets people might be watching.
Watched it for the first time just now. Worth it! Loved the passive aggressiveness of Joe. Loved how quick the three were, wished we could have a show of that every day.
After watching this for a second time, i'm actually starting to think this might be my ideal show lineup. As much as I despise Matarese he kind of fits perfectly as the Opie style anchor, except unlike Opie everybody feels completely comfortable shitting on him and making him the butt of jokes. I think these 4 on a show would be brilliant for as long as Joe's sanity lasted.
When I think back to sixth form, Joe would definitely be the one who couldn't hold his own with the banter, the nobber who got offended by all the mum jokes, and would have to either accept his place as the constant target of jokes for two years, or go and join the music and drama nonces at the other end of the common room.

I m listening again and all I can think is 'this guy is a fucking Opie clone' and seconds later, Ant calls him Opie!! He is such a fucking lame 'comedian'
There's not a lot of videos that are immediately awful, but this is one of them. That daytime Food Network "let's learn how to make a quiche in some old Italian woman's kitchen" show music is the perfect intro to this hacky shit.
5th time I've watched it, first time I didn't fast forward through the music. How the fuck does this guy think he has anything to do with funny? Does he tell himself it's ironic?
When Joe brags that his wife makes more, Ant rapid-fires the "does she work at McDonalds" line. This is just one of the many hilarious fucking gems. Thank you for sharing this.

Its like an episode of "Poor little white boy".
1 Peckahnator 2017-09-13
A similar beating of a white guy on stage by black guys would be the perfect intro for cuckold porn.

Artie is the Mohammad atta of shows. Buck, matterese, stern, and soon Cumia
1 JMueller2012 2017-09-13
Never seen this before, is this where all the Materese shit stems from?

I've been searching for this forever & never been able to find it, thanks OP.

Literally first thing on YouTube if you search "Fixing Joe" or "Joe Matarese" fawkin idiot
1 KangolVos 2017-09-13
How bad is it that the one impression that he does well is something nobody wants to hear?

best thing this past year.
1 dom6502 2017-09-13
Joe took the beating they wanted to give Opie for years, then he even acted like him.
1 ThePittWolf 2017-09-13
I like how he hold the microphone to his face the whole time as if he's about to say something with any redeeming human value.
1 Spudsmargera1 2017-09-13
Even funnier when you know how insecure joe is. What an unfunny fag
1 ppeachy 2017-09-13
Was looking for this today. Thanks. Joe is Probably the 3rd biggest faggot in the o&a universe
1 meatbrawls 2017-09-13
Jesus Christ, was enjoying this until the 50:00 mark. Look at Jimmy's reaction to alcohol being held in front of him. eugh.

Getting major scorch vibes from the first two minutes, except its lacking all the talent.

Why why why does he try to halt the funny. I've heard of this show, but never watched it. It was great. Except the obvious.
1 kimchifart 2017-09-13
Ol' cadaver arms Cumia.
1 RickVince 2017-09-13
My god he really is an Opie isn't he...
"I've been doing this for 30 years."
"Now now it's okay, we're just kidding around here. Jeez relax it's a joke."
God Jim and Ant must have had so much fun fucking with him.
1 TriangleDimes 2017-09-13
If I were at his level of fame after 30 years I would start either keeping it a secret or finding ways to round it down.
1 ChrisBenoit_Daycare 2017-09-13
He'd probably do better in life ironically if he played up the failed comedian stuff and started with the self deprecating jokes.

I have said it elsewhere but he really is what opie would have become if he had chosen to do stand up instead of radio when he was fawkhin 18.

The intro song and walk out is the absolute worst thing in the world.

I didn't watch this the first time it was posted months ago - it really is everything I hoped it would be.

"My wife was in a car accident"
"I know how you feel I got booked on one!"
1 lrn2grow 2017-09-13
Artie had to sprint out of there by the end cause the drugs were wearing off.
