You know, I've never watched one of these pop shows. But now that I've seen a bit of this, this is just one person holding a camera up over some food and being incredibly annoying. Also, Carl is just some guy who happens to cook well. He's not someone who has been doing radio since he was 18, so I don't expect him to be good. He's just some guy, and doesn't seem all that hatable. He tries to have a regular conversation and Opie chimes in with something stupid that makes everything awkward; and the forced laughter comes out.
No one in their right fucking mind is watching 82 minutes straight of these two failures. I jumped to middle of the video and they were talking about cereal.
He really has 0 original ideas. "Mmm Anthony got compound media, my names Opie, so I should start Opie media". The worst part is I know he thinks he just thought that name up on his own.
Plus, there's no one he's close enough with to ask. Bobby, Luis J., the Cumtown boys, Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope.... all these people have reasonable income coming in from their podcasts. He's not close enough to any of them to get help, despite being in the industry for decades.
That is actually quite embarrassing. If he had any talent or sense, he wouldn’t need to wonder about these things. He could just look at Anthony, figure out what not to do (video, green screen, hiring a dolt like Keith), and then just start cranking out podcasts. Instead, he will keep doing these embarrassing pop up shows and not do anything else.

He's spent 2 months talking about having this massive fanbase of outraged fans, but he's going to do way worse than Anthony if he launches a pay wall site. He'll get 30 subscribers and Opie & Carl will get no guests but Sherrod and Vic. Then he'll go back to Bitter Opie where he rants about all the people he fawkin gave careers who do AA Show and Jim & Sam instead of his.
For years, Opie fake threatened to walk away from Sirius and do a podcast. Say what you will about Tranthony, but he worked hard in a short span of time to launch his own radio network and infrastructure.
Why would anyone want to eat right next to a sidewalk like that with people constantly walking right by their table? That's even worse than sitting right next to the restroom or kitchen door on the inside.
