Americans do it all the time. Its weird. No other nation does it even though plenty of European countries are younger than some cars on the road.

To be fair, until very recently European nations weren't made up of disparate immigrant groups.

Honestly as an outisder this is the single weirdest part of American culture to me. You're not Irish, Italian, German etc. If you were raised in the states then you're American, stop pretending something to be something else.

You sound like a civic nationalist faggot. Europeans identify as their ethnicity all the time, that's why there's fucking conflict and tension throughout all of Europe. Ulster people in Ireland, Hungarians in Romania, ethnic Russians in Ukraine. You fucking nigger.

I'm glad I annoyed you, faggot

I did a road trip in the south about 5 years ago. Everyone told me where their ancestors came from even if it wasn't the uk. If i went back 5 generations I have 7 different nationalities but I never claim to be any of them outside of English ( not British I have zero connection to wales or Scotland)

I honestly don't give a care about my ancestry. I hate my family. I get asked all the fucking time here in New Jersey though, so I just lie based on what I think will get the fuck to leave me alone. Usually entails listing 15-20 nationalities until they walk away.

None of them have been to Italy. Posers

you do not become Italian when you visit Italy.

"worse show" and "Why does ant, anrtie, Joe materees.."

further evidence half this subreddit suffers from downs.

Half?

Artie tells people he's Italian?

I thought they tested his DNA on Stern and it was mostly Injun. Isn't that why he's an obnoxious and useless alcoholic?

Just like Hispanics or Arabs born in America but still hold on to their culture, many Italians do the same. I grew up in Brooklyn neighborhood that was 90% italian & compared to the all American neighborhood it was night & day. We have are own traditions, food, almost everyone's grandparents or parents have broken English & speak Italian at home, we have our own behavior & social structure that you'd never ununless you're Italian. It's a much more of a community than the dull Americans who have no tradition, culture, identity & who never spoken to their neighbors & see their families only on holidays.
