I don't think Anthony has really made peace. He's taken sly shots at Opie on the Chip podacast and laughed openly when Jim as Chip makes Opie jokes.

Not to mention Opie said Sirius only let Anthony back in the building because they were desperate, rather than Anthony's friend actually fighting for him.

Opie literally tried to censor Jim during the "Opie and Jim Show", he tried to kill his characters and not allow him to do pedo jokes because it offends him as a dad.

I opened this thread with 100% full hatred for Jimmy after reading the title, then I read your comment and it shifted to 100% full hatred for Opie.

Opie got Ant kicked off the show because he wanted a new direction. Then he dropped Jim because he thought he could do it without Jimmy. Not to mention getting Ron & Fez kicked off the air.

Opie does not have the power or the wit required to get Ronny B off the air.

He did banish him to another channel and a shit timeslot though.

Opie's a person who is extremely easy to get annoyed with (as evidenced by the reactions here), given his total inability to be self-aware or self-critical (in a real way). Frustration.hostility would naturally build up where you spend decades having to placate this type of person because they're in a position where they can impact your employment (and a job you love).

Opie also has been pretty shitty after the split too - as one example, he said the reason Anthony was allowed back at SXM was because Jim and Sam's show was failing. Opie's overarching personality trait is complete preservation of his self-delusion - without regard to who he impacts (so throwing Jim and Sam's show under the bus to preserve his status as "defending Anthony" was second nature).

I think Jim's fairly clear that he doesn't "hate" Opie (if that distinction matters), but Opie does more than enough to bring on the shots Jim has taken.

Jim blackballed DL Hugley for months then pouted on air with him in studio for 45 minutes all over a "his people didn't get back with my people" misunderstanding. He went on a Twitter unfollowing spree because he didn't feel he was getting enough support from his comedian friends. You can't possibly expect him to be rational about someone he hasn't had any contact with in almost a year. It's not hate so much as that his sad little shots at Opie are the only positive attention he gets anymore. Don't expect it to stop.

How could he not hate Opie? We barely know the Opester and we hate him. Jim knows him and has a well developed appropriate hate level.

I think it is harder to understand how Ant is even a little nice to Opie.

I think because Jimmy had more to do with the success of O&A than Opie did, but Opie made the money. And Jimmy probably felt used by Opie and he saw that Opie was not loyal to him nor to Anthony. And the lies he was telling everyday that he went to bat for Ant. For me, Jimmy kept the show alive for so many years when Opie was trying to kill it. Jimmy not Opie, brought all the great people to the show, yet Tits takes credit for it.

I think what everyone's missing is the thing you actually put in your post. Anthony did the Greggshells video, he openly told Opie he doesn't like him and printed torpid sloth shirts. All that pent up resentment was let go.

Jimmy's only taking passive aggressive shots, so he can't let go. He's still suppressing his emotions, which he considers to be taking the high road, but if he just came out and said I don't like Opie, he would be set free. He doesn't even need to 'motherfuck' him, he just needs to tell the truth. "We just didn't enjoy each other" is not that.
