It's been in his head for awhile, at least since the grapes fight with Ant. Around that time he said something about them having options to split the show or do pop up shows. I didn't understand it then either.

Back then, 'pop up' was a buzzword around NY (and maybe the whole country) referring to short-lived stores occupying a vacant space. For instance, in the month of October, someone opens a Halloween store in a vacant storefront, then a few months later someone else opens up a Christmas store there. Again, I don't see how the concept or the phrase really translates into radio or video, but that's Opie for you.
