He honestly makes me a little nauseous now. Hearing that happy guy routine for the past few years with his wife the comedy writer, and now suddenly he is divorcing her, claiming she has severe mental issues, demanding custody of their child, all while dating Jeanie Buss... He seems really fucking greasy to me.
I really liked his podcast for a long time, and he has just lost his fucking mind with this divorce. It's practically unlistenable at this point; it's nothing but weird self help and affirmation faux positivity hippy coping bullshit. His Twitter is bizarre beyond words most of the time.
He was on Tom Arnolds podcast a month or two ago and it is just an hour of complete pscyho babble and ex addict support nonsense. I can't believe he even put it out, I would have fuckin' shelved it.
I found most of the second half of 2016 to be unlistenable, and then one of the last episodes I listened to was when he announced his divorce. I figured if the product was suffering that badly from marital problems, a full-on divorce was not going to help matters.
I gave his newest one a listen, because I havent been even remotely interested in his past dozen guests. He does like a 45 minute long episode, talking into his fucking iPhone speaker with a guy. You can barely hear it. If I was a sponsor on his show Id kill him.
My friend does an awesome Jay Mohr impression. He married a better looking person than him who is now an ugly, ghoul faced drug addict and still managing to win his kid in a custody battle. Also, she is funnier than him.
His Sandler impression is okay, it's Sandler from the mid 90s when he used to mumble like a tard on SNL...same goes for his Norm voice, it's how he sounded in the mid 90s. Jay worked with them both on SNL from 1993-1995, so he got the impressions down then and never bothered to update them. He's just a lazy asshole.
How many layers of goddamn clothes do people need on stage? It's hot as balls up there. I don't understand how fat guys like Jim Jeffries wear leather coats. I'll give Jimmy that much, he does a special in a goddamn t shirt or something, like a normal person would. Jay is dressed like Spiccoli in Fast Times when he orders the pizza.
