When someone here posted that Jim used to get drunk and yell Sidney Poitier quotes at his father, it all made sense. All of this "addict" nonsense has just been one life long attention whore in an effort to look "interesting". Seeing the people at Jims "Fuck Opie" party drinking beers in his house pretty much proves that he isn't really an alcoholic. It's pathetic that a grown man thinks being an addict is "cool", most drug addicts that I've dealt with are miserable, impulsive, lazy pieces of shit that are just waiting to die.
