I really thought the Adrian Belew and Stuart Copeland interview would suck not because of them, but because I doubted Jim or Sam gave any credence to their credits.
I vehemently disagree. First hour was dreadful, samey UFC shit. Second hour was almost unlistenable. That dumb, whorey, cunty hole Alina and a fucking spelling competition (opie-level hack bit) followed by half hour of why she can't maintain a relationship. Maybe it's because you keep droning on about how many dicks you want to suck! I'd rather have the naked cowgirl sing me to sleep every night for a year. The interview wasn't terrible but wasn't incredibly funny or interesting. Mark Normand was wasted - they barely even acknowledged him. This has been one of the worst shows i've listened to! I can only imagine anybody who liked it has lost a little context of what a funny/interesting show sounds like.

I guess I went into that interview with such low expectations, and it turned out decent that it made me forget everything else that happened today.
The spelling bee bit sucked and thank god that intern is done. I missed most of the first hour, but when I got in the car the pad data said something about ESPN, so I suspect Jim pontificated about that Robert Lee thing and threw out a lot of "baby boy"s and "scummmmmmmmmmmmmmbags".
Normand was barely acknowledged, but I guess him just being there was good enough for me in the fact that it wasn't one of the female comics or porn stars that keep Jim in the friend zone.
Yeah I get where you're coming from. Compared to other jim and sam interviews this was one of the better ones. They didn't drone on endlessly about 'the craft' and actually tried to treat the thing with a little levity. But by its own merit it wasn't anywhere near stand out enough to excuse the previous two hours of garbage. Like you I'm very, very happy she's leaving. D-Bag was good. It was funny radio ripping on him. But she offered nothing whatsoever and the whole "I'm a creative and funny writer" shit is infuriating. They had her write bios for the website and they were dreadful. Nonsensical drivel. She's not talented. She's not funny or clever or creative. She's not even good looking enough to justify her need for dick. Oh so extreme! Look out guys, this girl is edgy! And don't even get me started on Sam fucking Roberts! Oh well, Bobby's in tomorrow so hopefully they get something out of him and don't just ignore him in favour of intern drama and opie style bits.
