Lol, say what you want about Francesca but I've listened to him my entire life and while many of his ideas are outdated and he may not watch as much sports as he used to, the man is a walking encyclopedia for sports in the past 100 years. Opie literally knows nothing and probably couldn't recall 7 players from the 98 Yankees or 07 Giants
Totally agree. I listened a lot more when it was Mike and the Mad Dog, but it's pretty impressive that he can do 5 hour shows by himself. Of course there's guests, 20/20s, and a million commercial breaks but one clear difference between Mike and Opie is that one can "do radio" and the other cannot.

Mr. Patriots/Jets/Bills who knows nothing about sports (even though he could have been in the NBA) would make a great replacement.

The biggest knock against Francesa is that he's an asshole to callers, but 90% of them are certifiably retarded, so I fail to see the problem.
