It annoys the fuck out of me and makes me nervous for the handlers. I grew up on a farm and learned pretty early on that if you stay calm, The 1300 lbs animal you're working with probably won't kick you in the fucking head or trample you. The whole concept of bringing animals that can totally kill you in front of a gasping, laughing, squealing audience with the chicken-shit idiot host onstage with it, timidly poking it in the face as the audience-- who was instructed to stay silent-- starts loudly applauding and laughing. Those animals must be doped the fuck up in most cases, otherwise I don't understand how more people don't get hurt.
