Far as I can tell they're just two assholes who pleasantly say anything they can to get the female demo.
You know it wouldn't surprise me at all because O & A & especially J have always displayed good will towards them god knows why, so maybe they were used as a chesspiece somehow when everything went down between Opie and Jimmy and the whole channel realignment thing.
