So was that movie. It was all I'd heard about for 6 goddamn months, had Scorsese's name all over it. I drove all the way to the goddamn Encino Laemmle, I hate that fucking theater. This was a boring, unfocused mess with 97 characters I didn't give a shit about. There was maybe 2 gunshots in an hour of screen time, I've seen episodes of Poirot on PBS that were more exciting. Fucking overrated piece of shit movie, fuck it.
Nonsense! I love the valley. It's Long Island, but with Mexicans instead of jews. The girls are beautiful, upper middle class, and friendly. Everyone's house looks like Jack's from Boogie Nights, replete with inground pool. Encino is pretty rich, and full of gorgeous Persian women. It's a really nice town; sometimes I see Dave Grohl at the Ralphs at Ventura and White Oak. It's sunny and hot every day here. Rent is cheaper. Ive been here 12 years and I feel like I live in a movie. At night the hills twinkle like a model train set.
