It's getting vurry uncomfortable watching the opester, hat in hand, angling for a job in some who-cares terrestrial radio market in upstate NY. It's not funny now...it's just sad. As much hate as this sub directs toward Opie, I don't think the majority of the people here wanted this. Unpopular opinion I know, right group?
tldr I wish the opester nothin but da best even if it's 60k a year as a board op. He is useless as an on air personality but he has to know something about radio if he's been doing it since 18.

As Americans, we love to see our celebrities crash and burn out. I know I'm really pushing it calling Opie a celebrity but I have to, in order to fit it into this context.
He really brought into his own ego, thinking he could make do on his own, with a couple of hired laughing hyenas and his vast radio knowledge.
Anthony went out and started from the ground up, his own broadcast empire. Jimmy was given his own show at Sirus.
Opie?...fired along with his band of yes-men and purchased laughter.
I love watching him hit rock bottom. His fake laugh is so apparent now. Laughing at "Brother Weeze" and his trashy "upstate accent". Lugging around Carl who is like a black hole to comedy. It's like watching a car crash in super slow motion. Keep those videos coming please.
