I hate to be the guy who defends Opie, however, think about it this way.
The guy has absolute no descernable talent as an on-air personality. Has said maybe 2 funny things in his entire career, but managed to keep it going for 35 years off the backs of other, much more talented and funny people.
However, at the same time, he had a cushy job, and managed to get himself fired by being an ass. And when Vos said "Paux Fas", Opie actually said "No, that's right, but you said it weird", implying that he too, thinks it's "Paux Fas".
