It has to be out of the misery of having an incredibly boring office job where they're the least popular person in the office. I can picture them scrambling around giddily and showing people the tweets and then pretending it made them interesting for the rest of that day. Fantasizing the hot girl's touching up her makeup in the restroom and saying to the frump "Oh hey! Didja hear about Todd's tweet???"
