What was this sub like before July 2014

Did hate on Opie and the show start then or was it like that before? Listening to shows from 2013 and 2014 is so comfy. They were radio Gods and had a pre show and a post show and could do whatever they wanted it seemed like, go over, do whatever it truly was a different era.

the hate was bubbling beneath the surface ... Opiesucks showed us the light

Still critical but not so over the top. This sub has morphed a bit ever since the Trump Internet warriors have discovered that they can get upvoted for using the word nigger in even a slightly funny context.

Lots of complaining about how they were lazy and had no show prep (see the cronut and apology clock bits). I actually just lurked back then. There was a deserved amount of hate but it came from a place of love because Ant, Jim and a comedian guest could occasionally make some hilarious shit happen.

Trayvon Martin/candy crush

I actually just lurked back then.

sounds great

The show sucked in 2013 and 14 with the exceptions of any time they commented on Fez's craziness, Denny appearances or Tequila and Donut Day.

They listenership plummeted post merger.

Prior to Ant's firing, most of the hate on this sub was directed at Sam and Roland.

People complained about stuff, but most were still fans of the show.

Roland is an absolute piece of shit, but he got Opie fired, so I can't hate him as much. Plus, I'll never hear him again, ever.

Funny thing is, May or June of that year, I came here the first time trying to find info on where to download the show after my favorite O&A download "blog" went private.

Couldn't find anything, got really mad I might never hear O&A again, and left.

Then Ant was fired a couple weeks later. Ha. I'm glad at least that faggot blog that went private didn't have anything to offer anymore. Fuck those people.
