I mean hed been in radio for years by then getting nowhere do you think the only right thing he did in life was recognize that anthony was talented and funny and was his ticket to a mediocre amount of success?

Yes 100%. Everyone likes to say Opie pulled Ant out of the gutter or whatever. But it was Ant that got people listening to Opie. It's like Ant is the musician and Opie is the studio. Ant is the actor, Opie is the theatre. Ant is the author, Opie is the paper.
