If Opie really has been fired, then the battle field has changed.

Tits won't be able to do anything to anyones' show anymore at SiriusXM behind-the-scenes, but he still has more in the way of choices on how to respond (Tweets, FB posts, faggy vague or not-so-vague videos, etc). Most likely: In his delusion, he'll unload the A-bomb FIRST, since he may feel that he has a certain amount of new freedom now that he's completely gone.

Of course, that depends on how brave Opie really is (which we all know he isn't) vs. how delusional he's becoming; because the response from Jimmy would be at least 3-4x more vicious. His only hope in that regard is Sam cock-blocking Jimmy from going that hard, which I don't totally think he'll do. Sam will probably do damage control for himself in order to keep that door open for repairing the relationship between him and Opie down the line. And then of course Opie may just clam up completely post-firing, the minute a lawsuit is filed against him over the bathroom thing.

Usually, beating someone to the punch with destroying them first is key. But in Opie's case: He really has NO ONE on his side that will vehemently defend him, publicly. Either because they don't agree with him and know the truth, OR because they're comics that have more to gain through a friendship with Jim Norton than Opie (guest, middle and opener spots, J&S show, etc). Never mind the fact that Opie's ship is clearly sinking.

Regardless; Jimmy should drop it first. You cant let a delusional nut like Tits walk away thinking he had the last laugh. You have to ruin him outright, before he has a chance to contort more of the reality around him
