We knew the guy was desperate, but holy shit. He has to PAY people to come do his shitshow.

also went to the bosses to get Roland fired, because Roland couldn't find anyone willing to do opie's show

wow, and he was surprised that Roland didn't show him unlimited loyalty and allow him to film him shitting?

Well, that explains the loud fake laughter.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Two bits shy of a dollar!

They get 10 cents per "ha"

Talking about more than his regulars? Because we knew he was paying those 3.

Yes. Guests Jim and Sam wanted couldn't due to exclusivity with Opie show

I don't think that's enforceable. Especially when you'll get Stanhope, Big Amy, Hart, etc. Doing multiple morning shows in a day. If anybody could get that clause it would be Hoo Hoo. So it's really just Opie dictating to broke motherfuckers like Theo Von and Jewdy that he knows need his $100. Vos probably just did it because he's closer to Opie than Jim.

Vos can't resist being on a show that offers him money. It has nothing to do with who he's closer to.

He probably had more fun with Jim and Sam those two days he came back than the entire year with Opie.

No. Bonnie and Lynsi's are legitimately best friends. This is like when your mom would force you to play with the annoying kid you hate because she wants to hang out with his mother.

Jimmy has mentioned more than once over the years that Vos is one of his very closest of friends.

And Vos is doing J&S. As recent as last week.

He's also said time and time again how close he is with Vinnie Brand and without Vinnie his career would be nothing, but he has no problem going on the show of the guy who bit and strangled Vinnie's daughter.

So, take what Jimmy says about friendship with a grain of salt.

Morton's Salt, perhaps?

On the flip side of that, it shows Norton doesn't want to lose any friends. Even though someone assaulted one friend's daughter, he remains friends with both. Very depressing.

Vos was getting Jimmy laid in the same room years before they knew Tits. They're that gay-ly close. Tits just gave Vos a big loan for his dumb documentary.

I'm sure that made sense for the channel, you don't want the same guest on multiple times during the day. And that was back when Gregg's name was on the channel and he still had some power left. It's also the PR companies and studios - they had trouble as O&A with certain guests because the PR companies were blocking them. They brought Roland in because XM's booking department stank on ice - remember, there was a time a big get for them was the one man Star Wars show, or the world's greatest toothpick artist. Now, Roland can't book anyone for Gregg's not-a-real-show, and he tries to get him fired. Typical fucking narcissist - it's NEVER their fault. Ever.

I wouldnt doubt he tried tho, he was obsessed with having exclusives Howard didnt get, and threw a tantrum one day because Gary was outside the studio - probably just wanted to see/meet whoever it was, but Opie went off on a rant that would make Captain Queeg be proud - yelling, foaming at the mouth, fake tough threats, accusing Gary of trying to steal the guest. It was great, because it was so out of the blue and so deranged.

Jim himself said they didn't want guests in same day or day after due to replays. Opie was being a cunt.

I hear Ari Shaffir pays his podcast guests.

Skanks do too.

This isn't news.

I don't see a problem with paying guests to be on your show if it results in good content. I assume that's not the case here.

your assumption is accurate in this case. Basically Opie is paying to have mentally challenged adults laugh loudly over guests talking and yelling wildly at random occurrences....no good radio is ever had.

It sounds like he's paying them with the expectation that they won't do Jim & Sam.

Don't most established shows pay guests?

Hosp were you paid to get to fetch sandwiches for Ronnie B when trying to get airtime as a comedian?

Maybe, but they probably don't say the guests are personal friends and part of an inner circle. While intimating the earlier show is trying to stab them in the pecka.

Jim expects comics to come in for free. Jim should use some of the $60k to pay comics too, bring some comedy to his show.

Comic's 'payment' was a large audience to promote too

It's desperate and hilarious that Opie had to do that, but I now actually think of his show in a better light. At least he isn't dragging those fucking losers through hell with him and asking them to do it for free.

I don't see what all the ruckus is about. They're Opie's friend. Everyone pays their friends to hang out with them. Inner circle bros....inner circle...

This is really funny. Especially when you really think about it. Opie's budget can't be huge. So sherrod, Vic, and Cuban are so desperate for $50, maybe $100, that they dedicate several hours per day to come in and pretend to act like Opie is entertaining.

That goes beyond funny. It's just sad.

I mean if I was paid $100 a day to talk on the radio for a couple hours and promote my gigs for free I'd probably do it. It's not a substantial amount of cash but $100 to do basically nothing isn't that bad. I mean what else does Vic or Sherrod have to do?

I love the idea that SXM aren't providing the money for them so Opie has to go into his own pocket. And it bleeds into his personal life - tightening the purse strings at home, giving Linsi less and less etc

I never wanted to be the faaaawkin boss. Here's your money. sniff

"Everything I did I did for my FAWKIN. RAQIO. EMPIRE. PERIOD"

No sane human being would come on that large-breasted man's show.
