I'm going in order just for Zak amici but after 3 eps, there is no hopr

Anybody can be mean to each other. It takes a real comedian to set up a bit and execute the joke. I wouldnt know but yahurdwhatIsaid

How could you know? How could any civilian know?

It's like the worst shitposts, but they actually thought about delivering it to an audience (including Rich Vos who will be appearing in wadwadwad)

I'll give Luis credit, he really gets some top-shelf comics to main event these roasts and not just awful open micers.

When I heard Erik Bergstrom was battling Joel Walkowski, I figured "okay, so he's gone all out for the pilot episode by getting these two titans of stand up comedy knowing all the attention it'll draw".

Then episode two is pitting Rosebud Baker against Emily Winter? I thought both of them were wayy too big to be doing this. Aren't their schedules full from all those worldwide tour dates and movie shoots?

Episode three, Paul Hooper didn't surprise me that much seeing the previous four main eventers but there's no doubt Jono Zalay is one of the most important and relevant comics in 2017 America. Just imagining all the roasts you can make about Jono Zalay after he's been in the public eye for so much of our lives, I could fill several notebooks myself.

Episode four Ariel Elias vs Patrick Schroeder. Now you're just mocking the audience with the quality of roast comic you can get to main event these things.

THB, SOME of the LA undercards surpass the main events of the NY show (it's relatively new but....) I've been watching before it went to this format and most suck a peckah

I appreciate your dedication to the bit

sir, those people are no-namers.

Can I have your permission to frame this in my apartment? It gives me joy

I watched all the roast battles for a while. They were actually pretty funny, mostly for how badly they bombed. The bombing was great, and the pro comedians usually contributed something good. That said, it gets old really fast. Good looking white guys are called school shooters, good looking white girls fuck black guys, fat girls are fat and disgusting, minorities are whatever their stereotype, and if anybody had a dead family member it would be used over and over again until the joke was beaten into the ground (like their Dad who's dead).

Same with the LA version

Comedy used to be a working class profession. These guys were high school graduates who used to work shitty side-jobs at warehouses and muffler shops. The only talent they had was being funny. Now comedy is populated by these yuppie assholes with liberal arts degrees who think they have something important to say to the world.

Jesus CHRIST is this a solid approximation of comedy today. Im extra fucked because I didnt start even doing it until my middle 30s, alienating me even further from these LA fags. Im in hell.

Too be fair these young people in comedy went to college as a victim if the 'everyone should go to college' and 'all degrees are great' lies. They drive uber and/or have other pisspoor jobs (or are unemployed) hoping they can make something off stand up much.

Watching misshapen never-rans on a stage disjointedly read out bland, soulless insults - while very noticeably staring at their phone - isn't an art: it's a craft, my fellow civilians.

You'd do well to appreciate these modern-day artisans.

some of these are good. The recent ones have had that fat black hole from YKWD blabbering the entire time though

Yes.

Tss You suck peckaz!

No you suck peckaz or sumpthin'!

FAWK YEAH
